New to Montreal: I have a few questions. I just moved here from St. John's, NL a few weeks ago and I am looking for some advice! I am currently living in the Plateau area.
I want to take French classes. People have recommended Centre Saint-Louis (centre-st-louis.csdm.ca). Has anyone taken classes there? If so, how was your experience? What was needed to register?
I understand my options are limited (or non-existent) as an English-speaking person. Can anyone recommend specific call centres that hire anglophones or any other companies that may be hiring anglophones?
Where can I get a decent, affordable hair cut? I'm a girl, but not overly high-maintenance about the salon experience.
Any other tips would be appreciated! :)

Like I tell every person who asks job questions around here, look into QA for jobs. (Game testing), you don't usually need french, and they'll hire just about anybody. It's not a stable industry but it's an easy somewhat fun job. Try any of the game companies and places like VMC/Volt game labs and Babel. It's a loooot better than a call centre job. Good luck on the haircut part, I like http://aupremier.com/ on monkland near Villa metro. If you go for a junior hairdresser (under 5 years experience) it's about 45$, and they're really well trained. You get coffee and an oil head massage with that!
