  Advice needed!!! Had someone rent our house, they just moved out and replacement of carpet, cleaning, painting, etc... She exhausted her deposit. We sent her deposit withholding letter one day late (21 day allowance) now she is asking (with an attorney) for all of it back and then some. Does she have a case?

  Agree w/ Katie, I had excellent interaction w/ the HOME Line as a renter. They told me that in MN the law favors the landlord, so who knows? I had a landlord keep my full deposit in Minneapolis because he claimed I left the apartment "filthy", which was a lie, but I let it go.

I'm looking for the following resources: First, someone that knows an attorney that could read a few paragraphs I found on a MN law site and explain them in plain English to me/give opinion. Second, does anyone know someone that is a professional commercial plumber? Third, does anyone know a resource that could help me navigate and understand the laws in regards to condos and my rights - like where to start with a housing authority or advice from another commercial landlord?
