Recs for Bride-only Hair & Makeup? I’ve gotten some recommendations for hair & makeup (HMU) artists, but am finding that many aren’t interested in doing small weddings on a weekend (or have a high-dollar minimum). We’re not having a bridal party in our small, COVID-postponed May 2021 wedding, which will be on a Sunday during the day — so the HMU will just be for me (the bride) and possibly also my BFF (who is officiating the ceremony). Any recommendations for HMU artists who are open to small jobs? Thank you in advance!

Not exactly what you’re asking for, but I ended up using Blushington.com’s services— you can get a makeup artist to teach you how to do your own makeup via Zoom, they’ll also tell you what products to get/what you can use of your own stuff. You can also hire them to be there via Zoom on the morning of your wedding and coach you then. I never wear makeup in real life so I was really nervous, but they did a great job, I practiced a lot, and then it looked great on my wedding day! They even coached me through applying false eyelashes. So if you can’t find someone in-person, this might be something to consider!
