I’m 5’2” with an athletic build so I often have to buy size 4 or 6 SHORT. Anyone similar to me that has pants that fit well? Also, shoes? Most comfortable? Thanks!
Threethousandandate replied:Hey! I'm F 5'3", and also starting out at a volunteer company. The 5.11's are the best pants, but if you want a comfortable, functional pair for $24, Dickies pants work well and are at most walmart supercenters, so you can try them on too -- they're also a bit more affordable for a volunteer's wage ;) [Galls.com](https://Galls.com) is a good starting point to find boots. I'd very strongly recommend a zippered option, makes long long shifts easier. Good luck!

The ones I see on Google's top results are all cut resistant and seem tailored towards industrial workers and not security who might have to face knife attacks. I'm looking for a stab proof vest, and preferably stab proof or at least highly stab resistant arm and thigh armour. If a product can't be called 'stab proof' for legal reasons but it still works well against a determined knife attacker, a recommendation for that is also appreciated. I'm in Canada if that's relevant.

I'm not picking on you Ray, but if I had a nickel for everytime I've helped out a Google user who simply stopped looking because Google couldn't find what they wanted, I'd be rich! Moral: there are other search engines in this world besides Google. A quick AltaVista search returned a number of references noting that Dynamed had been acquired by Galls, a large emergency supplies distributor: http://www.galls.com Sure enough, they indicate that Dynamed had been acquired a couple of years ago and folded into the Galls operation.

If you're looking for a civilian style console(just to throw crap and coffee and change in), then the Walmart job everyone has suggested is probably the way to go. If you're looking for a police style console (to throw a CB/scanner/equipment/switches) into, then check out: www.streichers.com or www.galls.com I'm also looking, but haven't decided exactly what I want. I do have equipment to throw in it, so I will end up with a police console. Anyone have suggestions? Or one they want to sell for that matter? Otherwise, I'll be shooting from the hip picking one from catalogue pictures. Matt
