I have been sewing Professionally for 10 years now, and what a wild 10 years it has been. I started in my townhome in Kanata where I did clothing alterations and had a contract with lulu lemon in which I hemmed over 8000 pairs of pants. I also started altering wedding dresses from there and out grew the house. We were busting at the seams with wedding dresses. My growing family and business then moved to a larger home in Kanata where another business venture was born. I took the plunge and opened up a bridal shop that was my third baby. From 10 dresses in the store to hundreds. I headed up the alterations department where I saw over 200 brides a year. I helped finish the look and fit they needed to have their dress look amazing and fit perfectly on their special day. Last November I sold my half of the business so that I could spend more time with my family who truly needed me with them, I was away from home more than any Mom should have been. After a long and well deserved 'break' from sewing I have decided that I would like to start sewing for customers again. I have missed meeting new people and doing what I love, sewing. I am now living in Carleton Place with my family. I will only be taking on the amount of jobs that will keep me busy, but not hectic. I am so excited to get going again. Message me with any questions you may have.
Hi! My little girl's first birthday will be in June and I'm hoping to have a Dr. Seuss theme. Is there any local businesses that could make a Dr. Seuss party dress for her? Thanks in advance :)
