  Bill M. wrote: Hired Johnny to refurb my 1950 house. My first indication that it might not be professional was the contract - looked like a 5th grader wrote it. The time quote was for 2-3 weeks. We moved out as the floors in half the house had to come up for another company to repair the foundation. While the foundation repair was being done, I hired Johnny's father (under Johnny's License) to pet on a metal roof and prep the chimney for a fireplace insert. Just had the fireplace pro's out last night - The chimney pipe was half the old style black pipe and some AC ductwork! It I had put in my own stove, I would have burnt down the house! The remodel ended up taking 5 months with all kinds of shortcuts. Electrical work being done by Johnny (He doesn't have an electrical license) and it was done wrong. The floors are as unlevel now as they were originally. The plumbing was supposed to be all replaced, but some areas were (too hard to get to) so it wasn't done. The sheetrock walls look like crap where the mudding is as he doesn't have any skilled workers. All I kept getting from his father (as Johnny wouldn't show most of the time) was "don't get between me and my money"! I wouldn't hire him again and I would recommend that you don't either.
