NM Photography By Natasha-Lee, this is me! I am Natasha and its as simple as I love falling in love with life and that’s what photography is to me!
My story goes a little something like this…
A few years ago I watched a very talented friend of mine produce the most beautiful images I’d ever seen, I loved the interaction and energy she shared with her clients and of course the memories she created.
For me these are the memories that are here when we are not around anymore, the stories that cover our walls and allow people to connect with us long after we are gone.
I never had many photos of myself and my family growing up and this is the worst realisation that there were no memories captured. This is where my journey began.
I did not have the opportunity to study as I realised a bit later on in life that capturing photos was my passion. I did what it took to get into it, I went on short courses and found a lovely and very talented photographer in JHB who helped me with my journey, she mentored me and shaped my technique. I can now say that when you have a dream, do not give up on it as there is always a way to achieve what might seem impossible.
I have been in the industry for 4 years now and absolutely love every second of my journey.
My biggest achievement – being asked to quote on Madiba’s 95th birthday celebration. There are no words to explain this feeling. Yes, sadly Madiba got sick and I never got this opportunity but knowing that I could’ve was more than enough for me, I will continue to aim big and capture every story I can.
I am currently involved in a charity and the development of it here in JHB, I am so excited by where The Good Lord Jesus is leading me and the doors he is opening and the lives we will be changing. (More information will follow once we have the go ahead to announce this) My heart is big and giving back is something I believe in, a percentage of the shoots I do go towards this charity and I couldn’t be prouder.
