  How do you find safe childcare when out of town? There’s a concert I want to attend in Denver, where I don’t live. I need someone to watch my son, and it looks like I might have to hire a sitter. I don’t have family/friends that can travel with us. I wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving him with a sitter in our hometown because of the distance. I looked for some sort of daycare and didn’t find anything. I don’t know anyone in the city I can ask for recommendations. How, if at all, would be the best way to find reliable childcare? (Just to be clear, if I can’t find a situation I feel confortable with I am not going to the concert. I’m just reaching out for ideas)

  Hi - I live in the Denver metro area. I started signing up with a service called NannyPoppinz for backup care when our regular in-home daycare provider is sick or on vacation.   NannyPoppinz.com is a great agency. It should be like $15 an hour for two kids not sure if it's more nowadays .. I was a nanny for this company many moons ago and took care of two girls for $15 an hour.

  It's a nanny agency. They're home base is located in Howell, but they have nannies all over. Just go to nannypoppinz.com

  You can call nanny Poppinz and find out if any of their nannies accept the assistance. You can also look on the dhs website of all the daycares in our area that accept the assistance.
