Can anyone help?! Trying to find a restaurant - cheap, not super loud, veggie-friendly... Hello, we're having family meet-up in a few weeks and I'm desperate to find some new options as we always end up in crap Indian restaurants that my Dad's been going to for years (nothing against Indian in general, it's just the ones my Dad favours generally aren't great and my brother and I are getting bored of them).
Between us I think we're an impossible group to please. Basically we're looking for: cheap-ish, not super loud as Dad can't hear if there's loud background noise, veggie-friendly, not pizza or pasta, not Japanese or Mexican. Should be central-ish. What makes it hard is the noise thing, most restaurants in London are loud, mainly because of the decor (no soft furnishings to soak up the sound). The younger ones (brother, his gf, me, my bf) are happy with modern places (think Bubble Dog, Wahaca etc) but they're not really suitable for my Dad and his gf. HELP!
