About us

My name is Damian Thornton, alumni of Duke University, professional athlete and certified personal trainer. My two primary certifications are from the International Sports Science Association (ISSA) and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). I have also obtained numerous additional certifications/experience in training with TRX, Kettlebells, Dumbbells, Barbells, Bands, Medicine Balls, Body Weight, etc. My objective is not only to make you sweat, but to enhance your quality of life through increased stability, mobility, functionality, strength and endurance. In doing so we will make reaching our goals of losing body fat/gaining lean tissue a permanent change via lasting habits as a part of our day to day lifestyle.

I am also aware that reaching our said goal is not only a result of physical training, but that in which we perform throughout the remaining 23 hours of our day by way of proper nutrition (not dieting), rest and recovery. I am not speaking of depriving oneself, but of that in regaining control of our actions and understanding balance in how to eat in pursuit of fulfilling the necessary essentials our body demands in order to maximize our efforts put forth.
