About us
Identity was just over 23 years in the making. Professional guitarist Matthew Berry found old school friend and professional singer Stu Thurston in an online ad. Having not seen each other since leaving Royton and Crompton School in May '92, Matt answered Stuart's call for a guitarist to bolster his solo singing to backing tracks. After replying to the ad, Matt thought the name sounded familiar although putting a face to it remained elusive. Stuart also thought he knew the guitarist from school. From the first rehearsal, things clicked. The duo swiftly added songs to create working sets, mostly inspired by the 'Madchester' and related sounds but adding a generous dash of classic Rock n' Roll to cater for all demands. A successful audition, for Allstar Promotions led to the pair joining the top Agency. The first gig ever, and for Allstar was in Preston at The Stags Head during December 2015. A huge success. Identity hope to see you on the road in the near future.
