  My wife and I ditched the insurance thing all together and went with Christian Healthcare Ministries. It's an acceptable option under Obamacare (so you don't have to pay penalties) and is a lot more affordable (endorsed by Dave Ramsey, they've been around for over 30 years, hundreds of thousands of members - it's a legit organization). Functions a bit different from insurance, but definitely an option worth considering. http://www.chministries.org

  We use Christian Healthcare Ministries, max you will pay is 150.00 per person per month at gold level: 500 co-pay for ER/Hosp. Doesnt cover MD office but we use a doc in town that reg visit is 75.00. they have a Rx card but I use a different one that is better and free to anyone. If u join, plz tell them I referred you. My first name is Linda. I get one month free after 3 months. They have always come through for us. They also have a Brother's Keeper program addendum that is for catastrophic and quarterly, sometimes it is 0, sometimes the most it's been is 90. If something isnt covered, you can put it on the prayer page and people can get tax deduction for donations. www.chministries.org

Here's our situation: Currently, Brandon has no insurance because he recently switched jobs and might possibly be able to get it through his employer in 8 weeks, but that could be up in the air. I have been on an individual insurance plan for about a year, but it's fairly expensive. Basically, we need CHEAP coverage, but when I filled out this new healthcare info, it's saying our premium is going to be like $400 a month to cover both of us!!!! Is this our only option?
