  Ronda we also had termites 2 years ago. Sharon is correct, in that there are different ways to deal w/ the problem (I think the 2 main options are a bait system or a chemical treatment.) We went with Brown Pest Control (http://brownpestcontrol.com/) and they put in a bait system around the perimeter of our house. I believe it was $800 for the installation & 1 st year of monitoring, then $200/yr for continued monitoring. Knowing the damage they can cause, it's well worth the money! We were very happy w/ Brown & would use them in the future. Let them know we referred you if you decide to go w/ them. Google termites to see if they look like what you have.
