I paid 75.00, which is 10.00 more than her quoted rate, because when she provided my service I tipped her 10.00 and wanted her to get the same tip when she came to do my daughter's massage. I knew she was driving from Leander and thought it would help offset to cost of travel. For weeks my daughter tried to call to set up an appointment for her massage, and she was avoided. Eventually I got involved and left multiple messages, and texts for her which she ignored until I threatened bad reviews. At which point she contacted me to inform me that the certificate had expired. I provided her wth a copy of HER gift certificate, filled out and signed by HER that showed it was still good for 4 more months. At this point she informed me that she no longer serviced "our area" which is where she came to do my massage, in Austin at Parmer and 290. She told us she "would honor" the certificate if we came to her on Burnet Rd, which is roughly ten miles from our home. I reminded her that those were not the terms of the certificate and asked for a refund, a request that she ultimately ignored. There are multiple other masseurs that I could hire at the same rate that I paid her so that my daughter can get what we paid for, which is an at home massage, but she refuses to refund the money so that we can do that. I'm just disgusted that someone would accept payment for a service and then try to wriggle out when the time comes to perform the service as agreed, and just keep the money. Don't know how she sleeps at night. She was offered multiple opportunities to do the right thing.
