About us
Apples & Pears works with primary schools and other local charities in our local areas to organise and fund weekend trip with inspiring extra-curricular activities for children and their families.
Our activities give families new opportunities and experiences by enabling them to learn more about the opportunities that their local community has to offer. Our trips inspire London’s children and have the long term impact is developing children’s learning and encouraging them to pursue new interests on their own in future.
Because they involve volunteers from all walks of life and professions, these activities also improve social cohesion between different ethnic, religious and economic groups by encouraging interaction with people children would not otherwise have met (but often live very close to).
