  I had something like that happen to me on my D1....it was cheaper to replace the ignition on the column. You can call Nigel at Nigel's Car Place and see if he has a replacement ignition with the keys. The ignition is not that hard to replace, everything just plugs in....you will have to have two keys, like I do. One for the door and one for the ignition.
