About us

At just over four acres in size, the Community Plant Nursery could be just what your garden needs at this time of year if you have been waiting for the sun to shine before you spring into action.

With several different areas including a vegetable garden and potager (a Victorian style garden used for growing vegetables and flowers for use in the home), an orchard growing local apple varieties and a range of plums, a winter aspect garden, a drought garden, a rose garden, a nuttery, and a bee garden, this is a lovely little area to come and explore and gain ideas for changes to your own garden.

With the help of a great team of volunteers who carry out all manner of jobs from weeding to vegetable planting, seed sowing to fruit harvesting, and mulching to grass cutting, there will shortly be lots of plants and seedlings costing from as little as 50p upwards ready for you to buy to bring colour and variation into your homes.

We welcome visits from the general public and you are welcome to come and just have a look around. A volunteer can accompany you to give you more information if you wish, or you can just sit and relax for a while.”

Normal opening hours are 9.15am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and you will find the nursery situated to the rear of 25 Park Lane, Godmanchester.
