  My best friend and I are heading down to so cal for our birthday get away. We’re looking for a good resort we can stay at that may be near the beach and/or close to LA. Any suggestions? Looking for somewhere real nice with a great pool maybe a pool bar etc. Would be great to find somewhere with cool things to do nearby, were quite adventurous. Thanks in advance!

  A "resort" requires a good amount of land. If it's close to a beach, it's going to be PRICEY. [Terranea](https://www.terranea.com/) is the only one that I can think of in LA County.
