  Does any have suggestions for insurance on a LOG HOME? My elderly parents live in the valley, and has had a terrible time getting house insurance since they moved here around 12 years ago. And when they finally did find an insurance company for this LOG HOME, it was terribly higher than normal. Now they just received the new bill to charge over $4,000.00 for a property that is costing more than their property taxes! I do know my insurance went up due to the changes to our area being rated as in a flood plain now. But this is a bit ridiculous! I know there are a few agents in the valley, so possibly you could reach out to me to let me know some options. If my parents can't find something they can afford, this is going to force them out of their home. This could be be extremely devastating since my mother is just recovering from shoulder replacement surgery, and my father is nearly invalid. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.
