About us
Hitchin & Sandy Dance Academy (formerly known as The Dance Theatre School) has been established for over 30 years, lead by Principal Caroline Wright who is a Cecchetti Ballet Examiner.
We offer classes in Cecchetti Ballet and ISTD Tap and Modern for children ages 3+ in Hitchin and Sandy. Classes are open to all abilities and are delivered in a fun, nurturing environment by experienced and supportive teachers. Every student is given the care and attention they need to help them reach their potential and most importantly - enjoy themselves!
Students have the opportunity to take graded examinations, performance awards and the vocational examinations as they progress. We regularly offer open classes to parents/carers so you can come and see how your child is getting on. Alongside performance opportunities within the school, students are encouraged to take part in dance opportunities elsewhere. Past students have performed in local shows, pantomimes and have taken part in the Mabel Ryan competitions. Past students have gone on to study dance at a professional level or have gained entry to some of the countries top universities.

We currently have spaces available in a number of classes and have a range of flexible payment schemes available.
