Affordable movers? Does anyone have recommendations for movers? For moving from San Jose to the Sacramento suburbs? Or is able to post rates, recommendations, experiences, etc? Any tips on how to get a lower price (schedule on weekday, etc)? Also, what is double-time in the context of movers?
Asking for a friend. ;-)
www.emove.com check the reviews. Great for moving the big stuff. I used them when moving to Va and back. I rented a big truck packed all the stuff in boxes and hired some guys to pack everything in the truck. Paid $50 and hour for 2 guys in Fernandina 2.5 hours and then again in Va to off load. Check ratings Best money I ever spent.
Anyone know of any affordable reputable moving services that they could recommend in the Maple Valley-Kent area? Just looking for some help on large household items for this upcoming Thursday afternoon for about 2 hours.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Does anyone know of a company that will pack up our house and load it onto a uhaul? We will be driving it and unloading it as it is an out of state move, so just need help with the packing and loading. I have been calling around and I can't find anyone who does
Does anyone know of a local reputable moving company that doesn't charge an arm and a leg?
Susie L. replied:
Check out hireahelper.com you'll have to rent your own truck and drive it, but these companies provide labor to load and unload. Or check out emove.com. Same as HireAHelper, only Emove is affiliated with uhaul.
Anyone know the least expensive storage place in the Cypress/Fairfield area? The one on Schiel is $120/month for their smallest, non-climate controlled unit....that seems high to me.

A place called 290 Storage near barker cypress. Check out www.emove.com to get rates and locations
Hello South Florida: Can anyone recommend a good, honest, affordable moving company? I'm going to do all the boxing up- just really need some strong people with a truck.
Kimberly M. replied:
Jeff and I have used emove.com over the years. If you want to drive the truck, you can hire help on each end. That way, you get help with the big items, have time to deal with some of the smaller things once all the furniture is out, and you dont pay time for transit.
Any recommendations for a mover for a local move? I'm in the Lower Garden District and am moving to another apartment about a mile away on May 1st. Does anyone know any good movers? I've looked on Craigslist and it seems like a crapshoot.
Related: Does anyone know what the process of moving on two different days is like? I'm pretty sure I'll need to be out of my place on April 30th and I can't move into the new place until May 1st. I assume they just charge a fee to hold onto your stuff or something?

I used High Tech about 2 months ago to move stuff out of my mom's assisted living. I got them off emove.com. They were very efficient and the guys they sent were great. Not sure on the over night thing though.
I'm moving from SW to inner SE tomorrow and my movers cancelled. where can I find someone to help me move on short notice? I have U-Haul booked for 9am and only one guy to help me move a two bed apartment. willing to pay, just need a hand

You could check out emove.com... it could be kind of late notice, but it's a site to hire people by the hour. I used them in Boston and it was totally worth it -- a quick search shows they have people available for tomorrow, too. For a bit of cash, I didn't have to carry a thing (and everything was moved in really quickly, as opposed to me taking hours to do it). Totally worth checking out.
Can anyone recommend a good moving company? This is simply a move from the north side of the city to the Logan Square neighborhood. The Famous, the infamous, the lame - in your browser. Get the TMZ...
If you check out Emove.com you can get ton of leads and their prices...we've used Customer First Movers 3 times now and they've been great. Ask for Dorianf he's super strong and keeps it moving at all times. We always rent our own Uhaul and hire those guys to load and unload it's a lot cheaper that way. Cintia
