We have used the appliance repair place in Canby(next to the liquor store) for our dryer and washer, that we could take to their shop. For in home repair of our refrigerator we used "Appliance & Refrigeration Hospital" in Portland. 503-281-0041. I would use either one again in a heart beat.
So my fridge stopped working. Stan's totally flaked on me - twice. Any recommendations for a good appliance repair outfit? It goes without saying, but I need someone knowledgeable and RELIABLE. Thanks folks.

503-281-0041 Apliance Refer Hospital. They have a number on their website you can text. You can also schedule via that same sight. Had good luck with them. One of their guys lives in Vernonia if memory serves me right.
I need a referral for a local (Scappoose/St. Helens) appliance repair person. My dryer has developed a squeak that is driving me (and the new neighbors downstairs) BONKERS! I prefer to work with someone local and independent. I will NOT be calling Sears for this. Thanks.

I've always used Stan's. They are fast, inexpensive and VERY reliable. There is also the Appliance Hospital out of Portland, http://www.appliancehospital.com/.
portland, anyone selling a washing machine? mine froze and broke and craigslist is pretty bare.

Not sure if you checked with these folks but they repaired my old washing machine (which stopped spinning) for cheap: http://www.appliancehospital.com/. I eventually bought an energy efficient front loading washer-dryer machine set from Sears who do have kick ass sales if keep checking. I got my fancy set for only $750 from an on-line sale. Usually sets are $1500+
