Tanpits Cottage - Welcoming People and Dogs.
Chillington, DEVON: Stunning old cottage in an area of outstanding natural beauty. In a quiet lane in it's own 2 acre field. Peace and tranquility.
Village (good PO/shop, dog-friendly pub) .
Beaches - Beesands (Great food pub) and Slapton Sands (Great fish and chips pub) - 2 miles. Lots of other beaches within a few miles of the cottage. Coastal path nearby, lots of walks through country-side and along beaches.
Kingsbridge - 6 miles away, on the edge of that wonderfully unspoilt peninsula.
Dartmouth and Salcombe a short car journey away.
Trains from London into Totnes.
The Cottage:
500 yards from the centre of Chillington, down a peaceful country lane, a lovely detached 16th century house with south-facing veranda, patio and delightful, good-sized enclosed garden with fenced stream and woodland area. Overlooking its own 2 acre field. Luna Barn - Games/play room (table football, toys).
Sleeps up to 8 people and warmly welcomes 4 or 5 dogs.
Inside - very much a home - prettily decorated/furnished, lots of squidgy sofas, light and spacious. Unlimited Wifi and Sonos sound system.
Big Kitchen/Breakfast room - bay-windowed, flagstoned, with dishwasher, microwave, electric cooker, larder fridge. Rayburn (lit November to end of March) . French windows to patio, stable door to garden. Views across garden and field.
Utility room (washing machine, tumble drier, freezer, additional fridge, loo);
Living/dining room with refectory table, woodburner, two sofas,chest of games, door to garden, windows overlooking the garden and field. Unlimited Wifi and sonos music streaming system.
Sitting room with two sofas, woodburner, TV/DVD/video/ with French windows to veranda. Overlooking the garden.
Luna barn - games, toys, table football.
Upstairs:
A 5' four-poster bed with balcony and step down to en suite bathroom (suite with roll-top bath plus hand-shower, bidet); Double aspect, views out over the garden and field and the lane to the other... show more side.
Family/Triple room with 5' contemporary four-poster and single bed. Double aspect, views out over the garden and field and the lane to the other side.
Twin room with two single beds and washbasin. Views over the garden and field.
Single room with washbasin. Views over the garden and field.
Main Bathroom with shower over bath
Electricity, oil fired central heating, bedding, towels and logs included.
Full housekeeping on change-over day. Crisp white John Lewis bedding. Comfy beds. Great big, fat pillows.
A peaceful house, enjoyed by families and friends getting away together. Up to four dogs warmly welcomed.
Our two acre field is available for all holidaymakers (and their dogs).
Warm outside dog shower, dog treats, throws, towels and toys.
