Hey Illinois moms...I have a blog friend who is looking for Illinois Christian summer camps for a 5th grader and a 6th grader. I recommended Little Galilee camp in Illinois where my kids went. Any other church camps you would recommend?
Julie R. replied:
Another Methodist camp is Living Springs in Lewiston, IL (1 hr SE of Peoria) - Summer Games, in particular, is a great camp! http://www.igrc.org/camps/detail/6

East Bay & Little Galillee (sp?) are part of the United Methodist Church summer camps. If you go to igrc.org and click on camping it gives you camps all over Illinois ran by the U.M. church, for here in the Springfield area my children go to Lake Springfield Christian Assembly also.

A specific camp for the 6 th grader would be Catch the Spirit at East Bay in Hudson, Il. My husband and I help to counsel that camp. It is part of the United Methodist church but we welcome and love all denominations!! It is an amazing week of God's love shown and learned in many different ways. She can check to see if there is another camp that same week or another week at www.igrc.org for her 5 th grader! I love Catch the Spirit and recommend it to everyone who falls in the age group that I knew!
