  http://www.dorothyturley.com/ She was recommended to me by the woman who trains the water mammals at the Tacoma aquarium.(!) She's very very good. She does all sorts of volunteer work at the shelters and stuff, and is up to date on all the modern training methods. (No having to act like a jerk to your dog, or weird power trips. Just common sense behavior so that you and your dog are on the same team and understand each other.) My only complaint about her is that she talks too loud, which is probably a small price to pay. She and her partner Rachelle have a Basics class starting Nov 7 th, and she offers one-on-one sessions for a reasonable price too, if you want to get started sooner.

  Dorothy Turley and Rachelle Bailey-Austin just got a new bigger building! They are who I always recommend. They have a lot of different classes, including nosework.
