  I see this problem a lot in the 1960's homes that we work on. In most cases, when the steps begin to sag like this, the problem is the lack of stem wall or footing to support the weight of the concrete, brick. To repair it properly it will likely need to be torn out, re-poured and new/existing brick redone. Also, it is important to ensure the water is not sloping toward the porch area as it will not help the situation. We remedy this problem quite often so let me know if your client would like a quote to repair it. 770-294-1318
