SHAMILA RAMJAWAN (FOUNDER)
Shamila Ramjawan was employed in the Marketing and Communications Industry for over two decades and has acquired vast experience and knowledge. She uses every opportunity to gain knowledge and experience through effective networking. She is a master juggler as she tries to maintain a balance between her career, work, personal life and finding the time to pursue her other interests.
Shamila has various qualifications in her field of expertise. She acquired a Public Relations Diploma (P.R.P) from the Pietermaritzburg Technical College, a Marketing Diploma from Unisa, a BTech Marketing degree from Unisa, an MBA from Unisa Business School (SBL), Management Development Programme (MDP) from GIBS and Leadership Development Programme (LDP) from Standard Bank Global Leadership (GLC). She successfully completed the International English Language Testing Station (IELTS) test in March 2013. Her doctoral proposal is ready for submission. She is a published author. Her book - “Marketing tools and strategies” was published in July 2013. It is available for purchase on Amazon. She recently completed a course through Unisa’s Department of Psychology on “Capacity Building. She is very passionate about uplifting previously disadvantaged people.
Shamila worked on a contractual basis at Stylestar Commodities where she oversaw the marketing as well as corporate social responsibility initiatives. She was a Marketing Executive at Business Against Crime South Africa (BACSA) from January 2013 - May 2014, where she served as a committee member on the Marketing & Branding & Fundraising sub-committees of the Board. Prior to that she headed up the Marketing Department in the capacity of Marketing & Communications Manager at Sabinet. She also served as a Director of the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives at Sabinet. Her ten main qualities include: honesty, self-confidence, trust, a sense of humour, integrity, commitment, positive attitude, creativity, resourcefulness, and the ability to inspire.
She has vast experience in operational and strategic marketing management, change management, brand management, events management, media relations, digital and online, ATL and BTL advertising and corporate social responsibility.
Shamila is the person who she is today because of the choices she had made. She values the relationships she builds through her interaction with stakeholders at various levels. Her successes were fundamentally aligned with the strategic objectives of the various organisations’ core values, mission and objectives.
