Also, be sure to check with the city inspector to see if *the "landlord" is actually the owner or a poser, *if they are up to date on taxes or it will be foreclosed soon, *if it even is a rental (has to be registered or the "landlord" can't rent it out, legally), *when the last inspection was, and *what were the results of the inspection.
