  The first thing to do is figure out what your zone is. Google Ottawa Geomaps, and you should be able to find the zoning (and a link to the by-laws) online. It's not obvious, if you want help, call me (613-850-1048). It would probably be the best first step. The second thing you can do is to walk into the city.
