I am retiring in June and have booked a week in a cottage right in the centre of Windermere town, just myself and hubster for beginning of September.All my adult life I have wanted to go to the Lake District and that time has finally arrived and I am soooo excited. Can anyone recommend restaurants, nice easy walks nearby and some retail therapy and any specific MUST see please. Thank you everyone.
