  Fancy and good food tend to not go together in SF chinese places. The best compromise that comes to mind is HK Flower Lounge. There are several places that are "nicer" that offer such Americanized food that it is no longer recognizable as Chinese that are very popular: Eric's, Eliza's, and a couple of others. Extremely whitebread people seem like these places. Yank Sing is somewhat fancy and the food is good, but it is primarilly a dim sum place.
