Thank you everyone for all the birthday messages - I had a great day in work...... Heading to London on Wednesday - anyone recommend any good places to visit? Doing the usual sites but any suggestions would be welcome.

16 trips into London in 14 months and i have only managed to do one attraction which was HMS Belfast (I found a little boring). Absorbing the atmosphere, wandering and grabbing a coffee and danish while people watching can always prove interesting. Food I can comment about with my top recommendation being Gaucho if you like steak these guys really know how to cook and most of the chefs are Argentine. (Try a side of humita). having tried a few of their restaurants Tower bridge at night is my favourite but book now before you go and ask for a table by the window http://www.gauchorestaurants.co.uk/restaurants/restaurant.php?id=towerbridge . Other great restaurants in Soho include www.spicemarketlondon.co.uk and www.balans.co.uk. Soho is great for bars etc & you can always go for a Snog while you are there too lol http://www.ifancyasnog.com/snog_shops/regions/uk/soho . A walk over the Millennium Bridge turning right and follow the river towards Westminster and you will pass lots of street traders, entertainers, cafes and little food outlets including walking past the London eye. Bring comfy shoes lol
