  WEll, we all must face that time in our lives when we are compelled to do something that we said we'd never do. My wife tells me I have to find us a plumber. Any suggestions? Someone who actually shows up when they say they will is a good start. Licensed, credentialed and all that too. Best if s/he can work in the afternoon.

  New England Plumbing, Heating & Air. 401-349-5544. They're very good. The woman in scheduling doesn't always remember to say the company's name when she picks up the phone, but the work is excellent.
