  Barnegat Animal Clinic for sure! Doc there helped me with an abandoned 5 week old paralyzed kitten-did some tests and gave me some meds at no charge. Continued to treat her and I ended up adopting her bc I thought she wouldn’t do well in a shelter. 10 years later she’s still with me and no longer paralyzed!   So, I'm new to the Forked River area (actually born in Lanoka but have been in PA for over 35 years) and I need some help on finding an animal clinic or good inexpensive vet for my dog. I've been here about a month and start working this week. I had her to the shelter in Manahawkin for her rabies shot but need to get her updated on her other shots as well as flea treatment. I can't afford a regular vet. In PA we had low income animal clinics so was wondering if anyone knows of any or any inexpensive vets that are reputable. Thanks in advance!

I had poor experience w 2 others and called on them for an emergency visit they apologized that it would be an emergency cost especially being a new patient I expected that and did not care. Well, the cost was half of my old vets cost the compAssion and care was exceptional and have not left them since💕💕

  Barnegat Animal Clinic. We see mostly Dr. Andy Wurst 2 times a year for my 4 cats. Males in march...females in August. Love their staff, their Drs. THEIR front desk is awesome. It's a family thing...my married daughter and married son take their crew their: 3 dogs and 3 cats. & 3 cats, respectively. Wouldnt go anywhere else and i used to work at 2 different vets in town.

  If you can take a 5-10 min drive I would definitely go to barnegat animal clinic. No one can compare to them! Never had a problem and they are open late weekdays until 8!

  Dr. Wurst or his son. There are women vets as well. Can not say I didnt like any of them. 1-609-698-2141. Not too badly priced either. Also Popcorn Park Zoo, which is also a shelter has two good vets, know about greys as well and they are cheaper for shots,etc.

  Barnegat animal hospital is way cheaper that stafford & also owned by a LOCAL family, not a national corporation like stafford ( they sold a few yrs back & prices skyrocketed! ) . I use Dr. Buck, however, anyone there is good imo! 609 698 2141 on rt 9 in barnegat

  This is not a missing dog post but a plea for help. I have a asthmatic cat and am looking for a vet who knows how to treat with Inhaled meds instead of oral meds which cause many side effects. My present vet only treats with oral. Inhaled meds have no side effects unlike the orals & much better for the pet. If anyone on this site has a asthmatic cat & is treating with inhaled meds please inform me what vet you are using. I live in ocean county.....Linda
