Looking for electrician recommendations My boyfriend and I recently bought our first house in Penn Hills. The first few days we lived there we found that some of the outlets didn't work, and when we went to switch out some light fixtures we found that the house has mixed aluminum and copper wiring, and that at least some of it isn't in great shape.
We want to get the whole house rewired, but so far I've only been able to find one company in the area that states online that they're able to do whole house rewiring jobs.
Has anyone had a similar job done? Any recommendations of good electricians in the area?
Thanks!

Electrician Help/Referral? Hello electricians/home improvers of r/pittsburgh,
I'm looking for recommendations or referrals on electricians to help me update the breaker box in my detached garage (separate meter). I'm pretty comfortable around electricity (I'm a robotics engineer) so I can easily handle replacing and rewiring all the individual breakers. All I really need is help replacing the box which requires disconnecting the meter which requires a licensed electrician. The current box is an old Pushmatic, 100amp service that's got no room left and I want to update it to more modern GE box with more slots for breakers.
Last time I got a quote from an electrician on Angie's list and he want $1800 for the job, citing the cost of an inspector.
Thanks!
