Napkin Friends is a food truck in Seattle, Wa. Napkin Friends food truck specializes in a unique gluten free panini sandwich experience, THE LATKE PRESS SANDWICH. This delicious concoction was masterminded with love by Jonny 'Chef Perm' Silverberg. Imagine, if you will, a sandwich where the bread is removed and replaced by two crispy, delectable latkes. Latkes, for those who are unfamiliar, are pan fried Jewish potato pancakes. Jonny grew up eating these magical cakes, made by his grandmom Sylvia over many a Hanukah. It is the combination of his childhood culinary memories, and over 10 years of experience as a cook and chef which lead to the creation of the Latke Press Sandwich. In between these latkes, Chef Perm places varies combinations of meats, cheeses, vegetables, and sauces, including his house made pastrami, and then presses them in a panini machine. The result is a magical tour of deliciousness which your mouth will be overjoyed to have partaken. The fact that this unique sandwich is Gluten Free is an added bonus for all those gluten free sandwich lovers out there who have been searching for something different than gluten free bread. For those who still want bread Napkin Friends will be offering a white and wheat option as well as a small, truck made selection of soups, sides, salads and drinks.
