  Hi, just wondering if anyone has ordered a puppy from a french bulldog breeder (or individual) from out of state? I'm looking for someone reasonably priced. (Under $2k would be a dream) and it doesn't have to be papered, or full bred. I understand mixes - like frenchtons typically don't have as many health issues. I'd prefer to find someone local or within driving distance but the most affordable one I've seen locally so far was $3k. And that just seems crazy to pay for a family dog. I have no intent on breeding. And most that I've come across online turn out to be scams. So just looking for any suggestions. Thanks!

  Any bulldog needs to come from a reputable breeder. Do your research, you can always check the AKC site to find breeders, or better, reach out to a close by french bulldog club. I think the closest one is here http://www.pnwfbc.org But in all honesty you should visit the place where they are coming from and you should be able to see the breeding pair. Backyard bulldog breeders should be avoided. I have an english bulldog that I got from North Carolina 6 years ago when I lived in SC. They are high maintenance dogs, so make sure you research the breed extensively before you purchase.
