This stone-built, Grade II listed, detached former School House is situated in the secluded village of Gunnerside, just 5 miles from Reeth in the Swaledale Valley.
An ideal cottage for a group of friends to get together and enjoy a welcome break.
This unique cottage dates back to the 17th century and has high quality fixtures and fittings, contemporary furnishings, exposed beams throughout and lovely views across the valley to the surrounding Yorkshire Dales countryside.
A wonderful holiday cottage which seamlessly combines many of the original features, such as the stone-built bread oven, exposed stone floor and the lovely old beams with modern and luxurious styling.
A real home from home there is a beautiful farmhouse kitchen and a spacious utility room and pantry, which is ideal for storing the provisions during your stay.
An open staircase leads to the master bedroom with its old beams and a delightful en-suite with luxury corner bath.
A sitting room with cosy woodburning stove leads off the kitchen and there is a further sitting room, again with warming woodburning stove, to sit and relax by.
Upstairs, two of the bedrooms boast fabulous views whilst the third double bedroom includes a lovely en-suite shower.
The main bathroom is a masterpiece of design, with a freestanding bath and separate shower cubicle, which further enhances the luxurious feel of this outstanding cottage.
Outside is a lovely garden with patio where you can relax with a refreshing drink, whilst planning your next day’s activities or dine alfresco using the barbecue.
The village of Gunnerside is an archetypal Dales village with stone-built traditional cottages set around the river bridge, an old working smithy and, of course, the local pub, The Kings Head, providing fine ales and great food, along with a lovely meeting place for the locals and holidaymakers to all mix and create a very special atmosphere.

Bathroom with freestanding bath, separate shower, basin and WC. Ground floor shower room with shower, basin and WC. Kitchen with dining area. Utility. Sitting room (seats 5) with woodburning stove. Second sitting room (seats 8) with woodburning stove.
