  Hey everyone. Wanted to share an update on my first Austin remodel (recently moved here from Arkansas). Found most of my skilled trade help here on IU. Before and after pics attached. Most of my help was really good. A few were difficult to work with, missed timelines, and cut corners. Others, I’d never work with again. Highly recommend Josh Potts - did my flooring demo. Hard worker for sure. Beautiful cabinets from Michael Hartel. He’s fair and I found him to be helpful. Paint - highly recommend Efren Diaz Tile installation - beware and do your due diligence. One of the regulars on here subcontracted the work to a man and his wife (who live in Waco) to do my install. Asked me to pay the couple almost every other day. Took over 2 weeks for a one week job. So many excuses. Others who were super helpful: Steve Armbruster - general help, drywall repair, etc. Cleaning - @sam 5 Point Services Frameless shower door - Mario Huge appreciation to Scott Sledge for helping connect me with people who could help out on a few last minute projects. Carpet, lights and faucets from Lowes/Home Depot. Tile from Floor and Decor. Rafael Salguero is amazing.
