About us
New York Coffee (NYC) is an American-style café with outlets in Bahrain and most recently, Karachi, Pakistan. We also supply our own freshly roasted coffee beans and other coffee products to 5 star hotels and fine dining establishments all over Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan and the UAE.
In addition to the finest gourmet coffee beans, freshly roasted by us, New York Coffee offers our customers a variety of delicious food and beverage options. From gourmet sandwiches, pancakes, crepes, waffles and focaccia to salads, biscotti, fresh pastries, cake and fruit smoothies, we have something for everyone. Whether you’re in the mood for a bit of breakfast, a quick sandwich or salad for lunch, some decadent dessert or simply a healthy fruit-filled smoothie, we ensure that our ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality.
New York Coffee, W.L.L was originally founded in 1999 by two Americans from the Northwestern United States. They were passionate about great coffee and wanted to see it readily available in Bahrain.
In April 2000, New York Coffee opened its doors in Manama’s Car Park Building. At that time there were no well-known, international coffee chains in Bahrain, and for several years, theowners of New York Coffee air-freighted coffee to their shop from a premium roaster in Oregon, USA on a monthly basis, rather than jeopardize the freshness and quality of the coffee beans.
In 2003, in a drive to have that fresh flavour available locally, New York Coffee moved into the roasting business itself. With rapid expansion in the wholesale market, New York Coffee built its business around the quality differential of its gourmet coffees.
Today, New York Coffee boasts five successful locations in Bahrain, and one exciting new location in Karachi, Pakistan.
