New dentist new crowns As an adult I have only been to 2 dentists (and they were noth in Columbus). This second one convinced me to have crowns done. The first one took a year to tweak so I could chew on that side. The second one I had no problems with the third feel off for no apparent reason, chipped, and had to be put back on.
I'm lost on whether I should find another one for future restorative work or if this is a normal experience. It's really difficult to want to experiment with new dentists not know if I am just inexperienced. And I don't want to pay them hundreds if not thousands to experiment on me.
Does anyone have good experiences with crowns/dentists? Is all of this normal? Or does anyone know of a better dentist?
Reply: Wow! Thank you SO MUCH for all of the input. This has been on my mind for so long. It is good to know I have good options to look into.

Also Grandview, been going for years, no complaints (and many crowns, all my fault -- bad eating/chewing habits). http://www.drstevenhart.com/ Going Monday to have a crown replaced; the one being replaced is from MORE than 12 years ago, and another dentist (either Hilltop or Grandview Dental)
