  Edit: I have been corrected by the owner that Spice House is Dutch owned but Indian chefs. As already suggested Taj Mahal is very good, possibly the best in Sofia, but you will also find Gurkha vying for that number 1 spot too. Taj Mahal is what you would expect of a good 'western world' Indian restaurant, Gurkha classes itself as Nepalese and is actually closer to the kind of thing you would find in India/Nepal. Spice House is good but if I remember right its Dutch chefs (not to knock the dutch but not exactly what you would look for as 'authentic') but you have to be careful as it varies in quality from day to day but can be rather tasty! There is also Kohinoor ... which I invariably go back to, it provides a good flavour but again can be a bit variable in quality depending on the day ... Taj Mahal / Gurkha are probably your best choices but if you are closer to one of the others, they are definitely worth a visit still :)

  You can find lots of places in Foursquare. I recommend Pod Lipite, Murafeti, Cabra, Boom Burgers & Steaks, Щастливеца (The happy guy), Skara bar (three of them in Sofia), La Bottega, Forno Cipollini.. P.S. For indian food, you can find Gurkha quite better than Kohinoor :} http://www.gurkhabg.com/
