Our house was built in 1918, has plaster and lath with cloth wrapped wiring in metal pipes. I'm hoping we can find someone that knows how to replace the wiring without having to mess with the plaster too much. *original post* Permission granted :) Is it okay to ask for contractor referrals on this site? I'm hoping to ask fellow homeowners of old homes that come with unique issues.

  I've used Tom Gallina on both my 1860's house and 1910 house. Highly recommend him. 585-703-1800. He will be at my house tomorrow!
