  Not sure if I asked this here beforesince I have called and posted everywhere to no avail. My son is still in the Mclennan County jail. Its been close to two years. My son is Autistic. My problem is for one, the justice system is still ignorant on how Autistic people act and react to different situations. How differently they perceive things. I need an Autism expert to testify on my son's behalf. And expert witness could determine how much time in prison my son gets. What they currently want to give is 12 years for something my son "said" rather than "did." And thats the only thing the DA has. My son doesn't deserve all this time. I am desperately needing help. All the places I have called have been no help and resources are only for children.

  You might call https://www.facebook.com/144612632265309 The Center for Children and Families and see if Dr Montgomery knows of resources related to young adults on the spectrum and the legal system. Or Kathleen Geiger (who has some experience with court system and developmental disabilities). Might help (?)
