  You should have a look at Second Chance Furniture. Furniture is donated there and the sales help support the Rising Above program. I haven't actually been there myself because I don't need anything so can't vouch on quality, selection or prices.

  Add yourself to "for free GP" Facebook page. Sometimes you can luck out and get really awesome stuff. Also bidding wars and the buy and sell. Second chance furniture is good, too!
