I'm a fully licensed, legal & state inspected home based bakery located near the heart of Oak Harbor, Washington on scenic Whidbey Island.
I have been decorating cakes off and on for over 20 years. Most of my schooling has been self taught. But I have also had the privilege to be mentored from some of the best artisans in the cake industry. I choose to work out the home so that I may also be a stay at home mother to three wonderful children. I feel blessed that I am able to do the best of both worlds.
With that said, I maintain the strictest handling and cleaning procedures mandated by state law and have passed the Washington state Food Handlers Exam to have my food handlers permit. As well as the state health inspection which is stricter than most restaurants here in Washington. And was asked by the state to be part of the committee that helped to "re-vamp/'re-write" the laws this past February 2016 for the Cottage Food Operation Permit.
I am the type of person that loves to create art. Especially in edible form for people. I use nothing but the freshest ingredients available to me. All cakes are done within 24-48 hours before they are due for your event to ensure the freshest product available. Please contact me within a one week or more to book your event as I do fill up quickly..
I have created everything from simple birthday cakes, elaborate wedding cakes to sculpted cakes. I am also known for doing cookies, scones, cupcakes, muffins, breads, jams & jellies and Artisan chocolates. If you are also interested in learning, I do offer classes from time to time.
