Looking for someone who does sewing machine repair I have a Pfaff 1222 sewing machine that I got as a hand-me-down. It hasn't been used in decades and needs new gears. I'm looking for someone who does repairs and could give me an estimate on the cost. Bonus points if they're east of the city as I live out in Latrobe.
I'm not a professional or even a hobbyist so I'm trying to see if it's cheaper to repair the Pfaff or to buy something new. All I want to do is snug up some loose fitting shirts and hoodies, and maybe some jeans when needed.

Check out Thornton Company http://www.thorntonco.com/. I have not used them, but I had a great conversation with them about Pfaff machines and repairs on them.
Looking to find a place to take my daughter to learn to sew, or find someone to teach her. Any suggestions. I have called Jo Ann fabrics and they have a class but not for a month. I was seeing if there was something sooner
