I'll be in Portland, OR next weekend and may have a chance to ride. Anyone have any experiences with renting bikes there? Shop recommendations? Trail recommendations?

Well if your husband only knows Portland by the show Portlandia, you should definitely hit up Powells and Voodoo Donuts. I'm sure those spots have some Portlandia-type characters roaming around. NW 23 rd is always cute and fun. I've heard great things about Pok Pok. So fun! Can't wait!

Pok Pok is a good one! i also like Paragon & Irving Street Kitchen (both in the Pearl). Radio Room (NE Alberta), Mother's Bistro & Bar (downtown) has great brunch. Podnah's Pit BBQ (NE Killingsworth). And if you love ice cream, Salt & Straw (a Portland classic).
