Mild dentist-phobia, looking for a trustworthy (not cavity-trigger happy) and not condescending dentist? I haven't had a proper teeth cleaning in maybe 4-6 years or so, and have had pretty terrible oral hygeine up to a year or so. Something changed and I'm much better about doing my teeth once a day consistently. I have never scheduled a proper cleaning by myself so its a whole new world.
Is there a place I can go where I wont get shamed and talked down to, where they wont abuse my lack of cleaning and tell me I have 349242 cavities, unless I actually do? I heard that there were dentists here that would say you have several cavities and another dentist finds none, bc apparently finding cavities is how they get money....

If you're up North, can't recommend https://www.lifetimedental.com/ enough. Hoppy Lane and his wife Liz are phenomenal.

East Austin Dental on E 6 th is great. One time I was accidentally scheduled for a filling I didn't need. He walked with me to the reception area and made sure they took it off my records and that I was not charged for it. I also got a bottom tooth pulled and so gravity is taking down the upper tooth right above it. He's told me it will also need to be pulled eventually, but has never pressured me to get it done NOW. They also have monitors on the ceiling and you can choose your Netflix show.

Dr. Radwanski at South Austin Dental is about the best there is.
