  You can get an eye exam and 2 pairs of glasses from a limited selection at [America’s Best](https://www.americasbest.com) for around $70 Alternatively you can get just the exam for $50 and then use [Zenni](https://www.zennioptical.com) to get your glasses for insanely cheap. I got 2 pairs out of a huge selection for like $25 shipped. All of these options and prices do not require any kind of insurance.

  I just got some contacts from America's Best. I think they're a nat'l chain cuz, and I had a great experience with them. Also, they're pretty cheap. You spend like $99 up front for their little "club" and it covers all the eye exams you want for the next 3 years as well as discount prices on contacts. I don't know if there are any near you in TX, but you could check I think on their website: www.americasbest.com

I went to svs vision before n I loved the frames but they were $130 before insurance n I didn't like too many frames that were more reasonably priced.
